Race updates

I have been away for a while and here are some updates from the many races that have happened.

Try this triathlon:
Stacy was using this race as a warmup race for Wasa and had a great time finishing 1st in her age group and 6th lady overall.

Shawnigan Lake Triathlon
Everyone who does this race always raves about the scenery and how well the race is run. We had two No Limits athletes racing today. Elaine was testing her IM fitness and showed that everything is working well finishing 2nd in her age group and 12 overall.

Mark was back in the triathlon game after having recovered from a Tib-Fib fracture. He was very happy to cross the Olympic distance finish line in 3:24 and is keen on his next race in Sooke.

Calgary Half Marathon and 10 Km
Stacy was back in the game for the 10 Km and was super happy to get her goal of sub 50min finishing in 49:06

Raf completed the half in 1:33 which was 3 minutes faster than his police half.
Anthony was keen to see how his training was going and he finished the half strong in 1:39.
Lucy was back again to race the half marathon distance and finished in 2:16.

Hawaii 70.3 Ironman
Louise successfully completed her dream race of Hawaii 70.3 and finished in 7 hours. How great it must have been to finally cross the finish line of the race you have been dreaming of all year!

Oliver half ironman
In Oliver we saw Tim test out his fitness. He had a strong swim and bike but his back was talking to him during the run and decided to pull the plug and minimize any lasting effects. This is always a hard choice and I feel Tim made the right choice today.

We also had the husband and wife team of Murray and Corrine on course today. They are both training for IMC and this was a test day to see how their training is going and they finished in 6:45 and 7:20 respectively. They are inspired to reach their goal and have added another stepping stone of Sylvan half en route to IMC.

Vulcan Sprint
Just last weekend was the Vulcan sprint triathlon and we had Chris and Lesley racing. This is always a super popular race and everyone has a great time participating. Chris lead the way with a 1st place in his age group and a 5th place overall. Shortly behind was Brian from Thursday night swimming. Lesley had a strong race and finished 2nd in her age group and 3rd overall Female.

Whew! I think that is it for race updates. Everyone is doing so great. Keep up the awesome work!!! Please let me know if I missed anyone and if you have any photos from your races please forward to me so I can show them off.

Upcoming races:
Wasa and Escape from Alcatraz this weekend and then quickly coming up is Chinook triathlons and IronMan Coeur D’Alene.

Good luck at the races and Happy Training!!
